"JETINTERNATIONAL" Co., Ltd. ABOUT THE INTENSIVE PROGRAM - 1999 1999 is going to be a magnificent year for �Jet International�. We are going to organize Intensive English Courses during the 1999. The purpose of Intensive English Courses is to introduce the new methodology of teaching English in Mongolia. To implement Intensive English Courses, we are to study and research English-speaking countries teaching method and principles. So we believe we are going to implement Intensive English Courses successfully with our foreign clients� favorable assistance. BEGINNING AND INTERMEDIATE These classes will prepare you to communicate easily with native speakers of English, to understand spoken English in formal and informal settings, to read at a level comparable to that of your first language and to write understandably and grammatically. PROGRAM STRUCTURE During the first two hours you will study grammar and writing. You will learn about the structures of English and you will practice them in both oral and written form. Your writing practice will include summaries, short reports and informal correspondence. During the third hour you will participate in a small group conversation class. Activities include role plays of survival situations and discussions of world events and cultural differences. Your teacher will help you understand your mistakes so that you can continue to increase both your fluency and accurancy in spoken English. During the fourth hour you will improve your listening and reading. You will increase your skills through group and invividual practice. Your instructor will assist you in the selection of appropriate materials. When you have problems, she will teach you strategies for improving your skills. ADVANCED ACADEMIC ENGLISH; LEVELS 8 - 10 These levels of our program are for students who plan to attend a university in the United States and need to make a score of 550 on the TOEFL. In levels 8 and 9 the focus is on academic English. As in the preceding levels, your daily schedule will include reading, listening, grammar, writing and conversation. The level of the materials is advanced. Level 10 is a two-month, two-part program. During the first two hours of the program the focus is on TOEFL preparation: strategies, test practice, timed readings, listening practices and grammar review. During the second two hours you will work on advanced writing and editing of formal and informal reports and summaries. PLACEMENT AND COURSE EVALUTIONS During registration, your spoken and written English will be evaluated. On the basis of these evaluations you will placed in the appropriate level of English. At the end of the four-week cycle, your English skills will be assessed again. In this way, we know that the program is working and that you are progessing. FACILITIES AND LOCATION We are in an office building in east of Ulaanbaatar. Our facilities include classrooms and a language lab with audio-visual equipment. To encourage the meeting of new friends, there is a student lounge. In it is a notice board of things to do in the Ulaanbaatar area. The school is within walking distance of 10 minutes from the Palace of Union Trade. The area is a safe and popular section, easily accessible to restaurants, clubs and apartment complexes in Ulaanbaatar. FACULTY The instructors are experienced in teaching English as a Second Language and in working with adult and juniors. They use proven teaching techniques, making learning fun and enjoyable. Your advancement is their priority. LANGUAGE LAB To ensure your rapid advancement we offer you a language laboratory with both audio and video equipment. It is available to you either before or after class at no extra charge. In the lab, you will be able to improve your listening and/or reading skills and/or prepare for the TOEFL. Your instructors will guide you; they will know your needs and how you will benefit from the laboratory. CERTIFICATES You will be awarded a Certificate of Completion at the end of your last cycle of English for the highest level of English you have completed.
